Today it was revealed that the balloon based on Sonic The Hedgehog will return to the Macy s Thanksgiving Day parade for the first time since 2013. The news called Actor Ben Schwartz, who will resume his role as the character of 2022 sonic the hedgehog 2 . Joking with the fans on Twitter, Schwartz revealed that he actually will be inside the float for the parade, while singing one of the most memorable melodies of the franchise. Schwartz is joking, of course, but it will be interesting to see if he could appear at the parade, independently.

Sonic The Hedgehog has a long history with the Macy s Thanksgiving Day parade, which dates back to 1993. That year, Sega presented the balloon to promote the launch of Sonic 3 hedgehog in Sega Genesis. The original globe was shorter, with a design that evoked the version to which SEGA is now referred to as «Classic Sonic». That balloon lasted until 1997, but Sonic would make the triumphant return of him in 2011, with a look that reflected the changes the character had seen from the Dreamcast era. The new version has a higher and thinner design. The balloon was only used until 2013, but now he will return to the parade this November.
The parade should be the perfect way for Sega and Paramount to promote Sonic the hedgehog 2 !
